Graham Ross, expert in online dispute resolution since 2001, presented two e-negotiation tools which can help insurers and their affiliated partners to settle disputes of policy holders more speedily than might otherwise be the case. What is more, insurers can use these tools to solve own disputes with partners, lawyers or other clients. The tools do not disrupt insurers’ existing claims handling processes, being available as a SaaS (Software As A Service), and can be thought of as additional hi-tech additions to existing toolboxes.

While public measures for taming the effects of the Corona Crisis still keep the number of claims low, it is very likely that this situation will dramatically change once state aid and public support subside. Moreover, with the broad experience of online communication and exchange, customers as well as business partners will expect that insurers adapt to the “New Normal” by offering more virtual ways of claims settlement.

This webinar showed options for legal insurers how to prepare for a substantial increase in customers’ claims and possibly solve own upcoming disputes. Participants were able to ask questions and exchange ideas with the speaker and colleagues from the industry. After the session, Dr. Theissen, founder of Smartsettle, demonstrated how Smartsettle ONE and Smartsettle INFINITY work in practive.
